the brief

A need was identified for higher powered tools with the agility of the more compact 20V system. The benefits to the user would be the power of the EXPERIENCE range with the manouevreability of the ESSENTIAL tools

the design

The problem of incorporating 2 small battery packs rather than one large unit was seen as an opportunity to improve balance and aesthetics. Discussions with gardeners highlighted an issue with storing handheld power tools and remembering to charge the batteries. So, we designed a wall mounting system that stores the tools and charges the batteries at the same time

 
STIGA 300e Grass Trimmer

The 300 range comprises grass trimmer, hedge trimmer, leaf blower and chainsaw

A leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and a grass trimmer in the essential design style

Lamb Industries also designed the 20V 100 ESSENTIAL range, an easy introduction to garden power tools

A leaf blower, hedge trimmer, grass trimmer, and a pruner in the experience design style

The 700 EXPERIENCE range completes the range with 48V power
